Two sides of the world. One challenge.

Brothers Iain and Alastair Barnfield have taken up the challenge to cycle nearly 400km in 5 days in some of the most beautiful and untouched countryside in the world.

Starting in Havana, taking in mountains, beaches and farmland, no two days will be the same.

The purpose of the trip is to raise funds for the Henry Barnfield Fund to help find a cure to brain cancer in children. The target of £100,000 will fund the development of a new drug and patient care program that could have a dramatic effect on hundreds of children a year.

Please tell everyone you know about this cause and help us raise these funds and find a cure for cancer!

It all started in February 2009. A letter from our parent charity, Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, asking for volunteers for a cycle ride.

Now, 9 months later on and after a great deal of miles on a very small saddle, and we have completed the trip and returned in one piece.

Use the link above to follow the blog, the updates from Twitter or see the photos. A beautiful country with some fantastic people to ride with.

We have raised £5,500 so far and £11,000 by the SDBTT crew. A great thanks goes out to the Yorkshire Cancer Research team who allowed us to ride with them on this journey. They have raised around £45,000. A great amount for the common goal of finding a cure for cancer.
